The slightest scratch or small chip can cause problems as they make the glare from the sunlight and oncoming vehicles headlights worse.
Not only do you need your windscreen in tip top condition to enable perfect visibility it is also an essential part of the vehicles structure. An incorrectly fitted windscreen could possibly interfere with the performance of the passenger airbag.
HOW TO STOP THE CRACK IN YOUR WINDSCREEN SPREADING.
It is important that you don’t ignore even the smallest crack o chip in your windscreen. Unfortunately the damage won’t repair itself.
In many cases a cracked windscreen is the result of a small chip which has been left un-repaired which has resulted in something more serious.
It is best when you notice a small chip or scratch to take your vehicle to a garage and have the windscreen repaired. If you leave it for a long period of time you risk having the windscreen completely replaced.
Even if the chip or crack isn’t in your line of vision it is important to not put the repair off. A crack left un-repaired can quickly spread across the entire windscreen.
